Lifebook Showcase
Students run the showcase for industry professionals, agents, managers, and invited guests. This is a great opportunity for our community to get representation, bookings, and other opportunities to further their professional acting careers.
The theatre is donated, free of charge, to the students for these showcases. What other LA acting school can claim that? (I will help you: none).
Showcases regularly cost in the hundreds of dollars.
Lifebook encourages students to produce showcases in order to further their careers. Since furthering your career is our job as an acting school, should we not allow you to do these without the need for you to rent a separate theatre or pay hundreds to a showcasing company?
Every scene you put up is a contender for our showcases. Showcase participation is completely optional.
Here is a link from our very first student run showcase, web page created by Whitney Ullom, in April of 2010. Professional programs created by the Irons sisters.
Multiple industry guests told me “This was the best showcase I have ever seen.”
Bravo, Lifebook!
