Short Film Contests

Lifebook hosts original short film contests and screenings in class.  These films are shot and produced by the students outside of class time.  They can be spec commercials, spoofs, dramatic, comedic, you name it.

We use the contests and screenings as a way to help our students to get on film experience and learn while doing, not just waiting.  Anyone in class can create short films and screen them at our screenings.

Here is an example of a short film called Roxy, Moxy and Viv which was entered in a recent Lifebook Short Film Contest.

Keep in mind, it’s a spoof, and a lot of fun!  All actors are Lifebook students and they got a really decent addition to their reels!  (Make sure you get past the opening scene – this film will surprise you!)  They brought in their own production team, an original soundtrack, graphics package, and the works.
